How does it work?

There are different ways to collaborate with LORE and to use our panels for collecting data. Research projects that want to use LORE can contact us to discuss possibilities of collaboration. In those cases when the implementation of a project is associated with economic costs, LORE will charge this in order to ensure the high quality of our panels and data.

From time to time, LORE also performs free of charge collection of data for smaller research projects that are of limited scale and whose research lies close to LORE’s scientific purpose. LORE regularly announces the possibility to send in propositions and applications for these kinds of projects. The applications will then be discussed by a reference group that will let the applicants know if LORE is willing to perform the data collection without cost. Specific instructions and dates are found in the respective announcements. However, it is possible to send in applications to use the Citizen Panel for asking questions and collecting data at any point in time.

Scholars who are interested in using the Citizen Panel for data collection can use the application formula in MS Word-format found on the page Application form.

After an application has been approved the scholars and LORE will together discuss and plan how the research project should be implemented in our Panels. LORE will then program the surveys, conduct the field work and deliver a user-friendly data file together with a code book.
