About LORE

The Laboratory of Opinion Research (LORE) is an organization at the University of Gothenburg that carries out data collection through web surveys, with a particular focus on experiments and panel data studies. LORE is a research infrastructure and a service organization for researchers at the University of Gothenburg, and other universities, who want to collect online survey data .

LORE aims to complement and contribute to the development of research on democracy, public opinion and political behavior as well as social science research in general. In addition to being a research infrastructure for the collection of online survey data, LORE also contributes to the methodological development of survey research. LORE is primarily funded by user fees and is located at the SOM Institute (www.som.gu.se).

Panel studies
LORE mainly collects data through web panels. Approximately 50,000 respondents are active in the Citizen Panel, which is the the largest of the web panels run by LORE. The Politician Panel and the Journalist Panel are examples of other web panels run by LORE.

More information about our research or the web panels can be found under the tab Surveys. If you want to know more about how to collaborate with LORE or how to use LORE for collecting survey data you can read more about this under the tab Collaboration.
